Didn’t See That Coming

“Didn’t See That Coming” is an evening of plays about fortune and fate, featuring ordinary people in not-so-ordinary situations. Scenes take place in settings that include a bedroom, a rooftop, a breakfast table, and a restaurant. The action includes superhero lessons, kissing, breaking up and making up. The characters and stories all are varied but one thing’s the same: the endings will surprise you! “Didn’t See That Coming” will be Aberdeen Community Theatre’s entry for AACTFest 2023.

WHAT IS AACTFest?
ACT is a member of the American Association of Community Theatres. On odd-numbered years (2017, 2019), AACT hosts a play festival called AACTFest. It is comprised of state, regional and national levels. Our region – Region V – is comprised of seven states: Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota and South Dakota. ACT has participated in AACTFest since our inception and has advanced to regionals several times; most recently in 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019.
