ACT's second show of the 2026 season is our murder mystery dinner theatre:
"Trouble in Deadwood."
Dinner and a show, onstage in Walker Hall at the Capitol Theatre! Trouble in Deadwood is set in Deadwood, South Dakota in 1876. It’s a Wild West mystery-comedy and a “whodonit” that keeps the audience guessing – while enjoying a catered meal.
Auditions for "Trouble in Deadwood" will be held on Monday, February 23rd, 7:00 p.m. and
Tuesday, February 24th, 7:00 p.m. at Walker Hall, Capitol Theatre, 415 S. Main Street.
No experience needed. No preparation required.
Tentative show dates:
April 7th-11th, 6:30 p.m.
April 15th-18th, 6:30 p.m.
April 19th, 12:30 p.m.

ACT is looking for a cast of five to six actors for the following characters.
ROLES:
Dr. Hiram “Sawbones” Tinpenny – male, 40+
Purveyor of a traveling medicine show; sells moonshine as a cure.
Kat “Catastrophe” Jones – female, 30+
Wild woman of the frontier; some say she just might be cursed.
Bartholomew “Black Bart” Susan Malone – male, 30+
A notorious outlaw bent on revenge, leader of the Blackheart Gang.
Phoebe “Hawkeye Hayes” Dawson – female, 30+
An expert sniper; became the mayor after her husband’s mysterious death.
Boss Ulysses Butler – male, 30+
A rich snob from Boston; a charismatic scoundrel who owns a gold mine.
This role may be doubled with Lawman Wyatt Eastwood
Lawman Wyatt Eastwood – male, 30+
He’s the law as far as Deadwood is concerned, fond of the bottle.
This role may be doubled with Boss Ulysses Butler
