Thank you for taking interest in our YPT class, "The Actor's Body: Commedia & Beyond." The link below will send you to the registration form. If you are registering more students than the form permits you will have to fill out the registration form again.

Sessions:
★ Level I: $35
○ Grades 4-6
★ Level II: $40
○ Grades 7-8
★ Level III: $45
○ Grades 9-12
★ Minimum number of 4 students / maximum of 10 students per level
★ Possibility of a waitlist, payment expected at first meeting
Dates & Times: Dec. 8th - Jan. 3rd
★ Level I:
○ Mondays & Wednesdays
○ 6:30pm - 7:30pm
★ Level II:
○ Tuesdays & Thursdays
○ 6:30pm - 8:00pm
★ Level III:
○ Days & Time TBA (contingent on student’s schedules)
★ Showcase dress rehearsal on Jan. 2nd for all levels involved. Time TBA
★ A showcase for an invited audience would be performed on Jan. 3rd including all group levels. Time TBA
What students should expect:
This dynamic acting class explores the expressive power of the body through movement-based training in the Laban method, which helps us observe and understand how the body moves, changes shape and uses different effort qualities onstage. We will also explore the vibrant Italian form of improvisational theatre known as Commedia dell’Arte. In this course, students will develop physical awareness, character-creation skills, and comedic timing by working with masks, stock characters, and ensemble play. Through improvisation, stylized movement, and classic lazzi (comic bits), actors will unlock new tools for bold, embodied performance.
