The Capitol Theatre is a beloved venue located in Aberdeen, South Dakota that serves as the home of Aberdeen Community Theatre (ACT). As the only non-profit live community theatre in the city, ACT has been providing high-quality entertainment to local audiences for over 40 years. We aim to introduce everyone, from youth to senior citizens, to all aspects of quality theater arts - both onstage, backstage, and behind-the-scenes. Our goal is to enhance the lives of our community members and support economic development in the region. To achieve this mission, ACT locally produces and presents live theatrical productions, sponsors touring productions and special events, and offers theater classes and workshops for adults and children.
